Congressman Kim Statement on Removal
of Acting IG Glenn Fine

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) released the following statement in response to the removal of Acting Inspector General Glenn Fine as chairman of the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee.

"The American people deserve to know why the Acting IG was removed. Does his removal ensure taxpayer money is going towards helping people hardest hit by this crisis get back on their feet? No. Does his removal ensure big corporate executives aren't abusing the system to enrich themselves in these tough times? No.

Every dollar we spend and program we create to end this crisis should be transparent and accountable, and we need a strong Inspector General to ensure that we don't have corruption and abuse with trillions of dollars that belong to the American people. I'm going to keep fighting to make sure the hard-earned money of the people of Burlington and Ocean Counties is used correctly and wisely."
