Congressman Kim Statement on Coronavirus Relief Bill

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) released the following statement on the Coronavirus relief bill passed by the Senate. The bill will be voted on tomorrow, Friday March 27th in the House.

"I've heard from thousands of people and hundreds of small businesses about the severe struggles they are experiencing. They need relief and help right now. Their concerns are what I thought about as I worked to make sure this emergency package reflected the needs of our community. This bill will save jobs, save businesses, and save lives. While this bill isn't perfect, America needs its government to find immediate bipartisan agreement to urgently fight this virus and support millions of workers and small business owners whose lives have been turned upside down.

This crisis is not over, and this bill will and cannot be the last thing we do to help those in need. We can't open our economy and put people back to work until we get this virus under control. I'll keep working with our leaders across New Jersey to get the testing and supplies we need, and with my colleagues in Washington to make sure we support our economy and get through these tough times."
