Congressman Kim Presses Secretary Mnuchin for Federal Help
to New Jersey in Wake of Coronavirus Crisis

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) pressed U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin for a commitment that he would work with Congress to provide additional help to New Jersey and local municipalities hard hit by the Coronavirus crisis. As part of hearing of the House Committee on Small Business focused on the effectiveness of programs run by the Treasury Department and Small Business Administration crisis, Congressman Kim also questioned Small Business Administration Administrator Jovita Carranza on ongoing efforts to help small businesses.

"There are a lot of concerns about the bigger state of our economy and whether our economy is going to proceed through these coming months, and if not, is that going to have a negative impact on our small businesses," said Congressman Kim, who went on to detail the impact the Coronavirus crisis has had on New Jersey's economy and jobs.

Congressman Kim later asked Secretary Mnuchin to, "commit to working with Congress to ensure we have the necessary funding to our states and local municipalities to solve the crisis that we face and create a strong economic recovery."
