Congressman Kim Names Winner of
Congressional App Challenge from NJ-03

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) announced three Point Pleasant Boro High School students as the winner of the Congressional App Challenge from New Jersey's Third Congressional District.

"I want to congratulate Caitlyn Kuhn and her teammates Nicolette Matthews and Kaila McDonald for winning the Congressional App Challenge and representing Burlington and Ocean Counties among the other national winners," said Congressman Kim. "The Congressional App Challenge represents the economy and innovations of the future; I'm proud to have innovators like Caitlyn, Nicolette and Kaila paving the way for the future right here in New Jersey."

The Congressional App Challenge was founded as a bipartisan initiative by the Congressional Internet Caucus in 2015 to inspire, include and innovate efforts around STEM, coding, and computer science education.

"We are very excited to participate in the Congressional App Challenge," said Caitlyn Kuhn, a senior at Point Pleasant Borough High School. "We are looking forward to seeing the effect that this app will have on students and teachers in the future."

The Virtual Interactive Planner app was designed to help students of all abilities stay organized and keep up with classroom assignments. The app allows students to create a virtual planner and organize tasks at school and at home.

Congressman Kim is a member of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Committee on Small Business. More information about Congressman Kim can be found on his website by clicking here.
