Congressman Kim Joins State and Local Leaders to
Announce Coronavirus Relief Funding to Burlington County and Townships
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) joined state and local leaders in announcing $60 million from the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) for the Local Government Emergency Fund to aid counties and municipalities, such as Burlington County, that were excluded from the federal government’s direct CRF allocation plan.
Of the $60 million in funds announced, more than $8 million to go to Burlington County and its townships. For example, Evesham will receive $526,331, Willingboro will receive $520,753, and Mount Laurel will receive $468,834.
Earlier this month, Congressman Kim voted to pass the Updated Heroes Act, which would bring more than $300 million additional dollars to Burlington and Ocean Counties to help local communities put an end to the coronavirus crisis. In addition, the Updated Heroes Act would provide funding for small businesses through a second round of the Paycheck Protection Program, which Congressman Kim has repeatedly advocated for.
