Congressman Kim to Hold Telephone Town Hall
on COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) announced that he will be holding a telephone town hall on Tuesday, January 12th at 5:30pm to provide an update on COVID-19 vaccine distribution and economic recovery efforts in Congress. This is the Congressman’s 29th town hall since he was sworn into office in January 2019 and his first of the 117th Congress.
Congressman Kim will be joined by Dr. Eddy Bresnitz, Medical Advisor to the New Jersey Commissioner of Health on the COVID-19 response. Dr. Bresnitz is the former Executive Director for Adult Vaccines at Merck & Co. and served as New Jersey’s State Epidemiologist from 1999 to 2008.
“Our top priority now as a government is to make sure you have access to a safe and effective vaccine as quickly as possible,” said Congressman Kim. “My team and I have gotten a lot of questions from our neighbors across Burlington and Ocean Counties on when it will be their turn. I would encourage everyone to join our town hall on Tuesday and promise I will be working as hard as possible to provide our state every resource to get you vaccinated as quickly as we can.”
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Congressman Kim has held multiple town halls to keep residents of Burlington and Ocean Counties informed on ongoing efforts to end the pandemic, including town halls on increasing preparedness and vaccine development.
Congressman Kim is a member of the bipartisan House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis, where he serves as one of twelve members of the House tasked with conducting oversight over programs aimed at ending the Coronavirus pandemic and helping address the economic impact it’s having on the American people.
