Congressman Kim Announces NJ-03 Students Accepted to
Military Service Academies

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) announced nine students from Burlington and Ocean Counties have been accepted to military service academies. These students were nominated by Congressman Kim and will attend as part of the class of 2024.

"Our military service academies provide the training and education for the leaders of the future, and I'm proud to have so many from our community accepted for attendance," said Congressman Kim. "On behalf of our community, I want to congratulate them for this incredible achievement and for their dedication of service. They truly are an inspiration to us all."

Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies: U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), New London, CT, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment.
